Join Clara on her enchanted journey to the Land of Sweets!  Set to Tchaikovsky’s stunning score, this magical ballet is the perfect way to celebrate the holiday season with family.  

The Western Maryland City Ballet Company and The City Ballet School perform in a promenade theatre format to accommodate safe and socially distanced live performances. Patrons walk through The Maryland Theatre Performing Arts Center to experience The Nutcracker staged as three separate scenes.

One of the best loved in the repertoire, performed continuously since it was written in 1741, offers a challenge.  How do we perform this massive work in the time of COVID-19?   Re-imagine the work and how we present it.

If we are allowed to have an audience, and in order to accommodate as many people as possible, we will offer a number of very small performances with VERY limited seating at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church.  The number of performers will be very limited and will rotate from performance to performance.  Please stay tuned for details.
