1 April 11, 6:05pm: Hagerstown Suns Opening Day
A big part of baseball is history, and Hagerstown’s Municipal Stadium has it in spades. Opened in 1930, it’s one of the oldest parks in all of baseball and has played host to Hall of Famers, Negro League All-Stars, and nearly nine decades of amazing baseball. Be there when the Single-A Suns – full of future Washington Nationals stars – kick off the season and send the Asheville Tourists packing. First 500 fans receive a magnet schedule giveaway!
2 April 11, 6:35pm: Bowie Baysox Opening Night
See the future stars take the field as the Double-A Bowie Baysox take on the Harrisburg Senators in their home opener. It’s a guaranteed great night with live music and beer specials during Happy Hour at the park 5-6:30 pm, magnet schedule giveaway, and nine innings of great baseball.
3 April 11, 7:05pm: Delmarva Shorebirds Opening Night
The Single-A Delmarva Shorebirds do Opening Night right. First off, it’s Maryland Pride Thursday, so the birds will be wearing their awesome Maryland Flag home jerseys, they’ll be serving up Thirsty Thursday drink specials, fans receive a magnet schedule giveaway, AND fireworks after the game! 4 April 14, 1:35pm: Bowie Baysox Kids’ Opening Day
Minor league baseball is just a fantastic place for the kids. The prices are right, the atmosphere is relaxed, and Kids’ Opening Day makes it even better as the Baysox host pony rides, a petting zoo, kids play catch on the field, and there’s a player autograph session just for the kids before the game.
5 May 3, 6:35pm: Southern Maryland Bluecrabs Opening Day
The Atlantic League Southern Maryland Blue Crabs kick off the season in style as they take on the Long Island Ducks with plenty of off-field activity to boot. Bucket Ruckus, the baseball Rock Stars, fill the park with hard driving bucket beats, it’s a Backfin Buddies kids club night, fans receive a schedule magnet giveaway, there’s an Opening Day Jersey Auction, plus post game fireworks!
6 June 14, 7:05pm: Aberdeen IronBirds Opening Day
Catching a game at Aberdeen’s Ripken Stadium is just special. With its nods to Camden Yards and other legendary big league parks, amazing sightlines and, oh yeah, steamed crabs in the outfield, it’s a perfect Maryland baseball experience. Catch the Short Season-A Ball IronBirds season starter against the Hudson Valley Renegades, plus fireworks after the game.
7 April 4, 3:05pm: Baltimore Orioles Home Opening Day
This is it. The official, unofficial end of winter in Baltimore. There’s nothing like Camden Yards after that long off season. The fans a sea of orange on Eutaw Street, a gentle haze of mouthwatering aroma billowing from Boog’s BBQ, pennants snapping in the spring breeze and the Baltimore Orioles taking the field to face off against their greatest foes, the New York Yankees. There’s a lot of fresh faces in Birdland this year. Get to Opening Day and begin the journey with the Baby Birds of Baltimore.
8 April 4, 7:00pm: Frederick Keys Opening Day
The Keys welcome the Winston-Salem-Dash to Nymeo Field for their 2019 Home Opener. The Orioles’ Class-A Advanced team welcomes fans with a magnet schedule giveaway.
9 April 7, 1:05pm: Baltimore Orioles Kids’ Opening Day
Speaking of Baby Birds, take the tykes to the fifth annual Kids’ Opening Day against the New York Yankees. The first 7,500 fans 14 and under get an Orioles lunch bag, and after the game, all fans 4-14 can run the bases. Plus, enjoy the fantastic Orioles kids area with a bounce house, climbing park, speed pitch, and of course the occasional visit from the Oriole Bird himself. Your kids won’t want to miss it!
