Can you hear the song of mandolins, banjos and bass echoing through mountains? That can only mean DelFest – The Home of Bluegrass – and the start of Maryland’s ‘Summer of Music.’ From DelFest (May 24-27), through Sunfest (September 20-23) in Ocean City, the summer of 2018 brings a wall of sound and a symphony of styles to the Free State.

Whether you want to groove to the sultry sounds of the Capital Jazz Festival in Columbia; shred to the metal madness of Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore and Doom Fest in Frederick; or let your freak flag fly all over the dancefloor at Moonrise Festival in Baltimore, Maryland’s Summer of Music has a home for your sound and your scene. Check out these 25 rocking events, plus more of the Summer of Music at our great live music clubs, wineries, outdoor music venues and more, because this summer, Maryland means music.
