Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum

This state museum of archaeology overlooks the Patuxent River and includes a Visitor & Exhibit Center, Discovery Room, an Indian Village, hiking trails and a canoe & kayak launch. Visitors can spend the day picnicking, biking and hiking. A National Park Service Network to Freedom site.

Great, safe, relaxing place to visit

This is a great place for a picnic lunch or for a long walk or watch the sunset. Wigwams are very cool to see. We didn’t go in the museum, Just walked about 3 miles in the park. Great water views...
