Smithsonian Environmental Research Center

SERC is an active research and educational center offering evening lectures and family-oriented science activities, year -round self guided walking trails, and canoeing on site. Discover what's cool about the Chesapeake's wildlife, learn about environmental research, or join a hands -on program for organized groups. Public guided hikes, research site tours and canoe excursions are offered in the summer. A recognized Chesapeake Bay Storyteller, trained by the Maryland Office of Tourism.
