Hubby and I visited the park mainly to see the sunset. The views are beautiful. I do wish the lighthouse did not have the fencing around it. It would nice to see it renovated and open to the public...

I grew up in Southern Maryland and we went to this park every year to go swimming. This park is nowhere near the Atlantic Ocean... Point Lookout is where the Chesapeake Bay and the Potomac River...
