Casselman Bridge
The 80-ft. stone arch bridge was the largest of its kind when constructed in 1813. It was located along the National Road, linking Cumberland with the Ohio River.

This park protects the stone Casselman River Bridge. Very beautiful, and part of the old Rt 40. It's definitely a must see. Lovely to see people fishing underneath, have a picnic on the grounds. From...

After seeing pictures of the bridge, I wanted to see it in person. We spent a weekend in the area and found plenty to see and do. Grantsville is a charming little town away from cities.

The main attraction here is the old bridge which is closed to all but walking traffic now. The wonder of what it was when built is worth taking the time to soak in. There is a small park with picnic...
