The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Montgomery County (HCCMC), in partnership with Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce (GGCC) & BlackRock Center for the Arts, is proud to announce the opening of Hispanic Heritage Month with the second annual Colores exhibition, celebrating the vibrant talents of Latino artists residing in Montgomery County. Colores showcases the rich cultural heritage and eclectic creativity that the Hispanic community contributes to our local arts scene.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with the Zoo. Featuring fun entertainment, community vendors and resources, Latin American Folkloric Dance groups and Zoo animals. Event is rain or shine, included with Zoo admission.

Gather together at the Walters Art Museum for a joy-filled day of activities for all ages as we celebrate the opening of our newest galleries containing art from South, Central, and North America and the Caribbean, Latin American Art/Arte Latinoamericano. Throughout the celebration, we’ll have a market of contemporary artisans and food vendors in our Sculpture Court, curator-led tours of the exhibition, talks by artists whose works are on view, a collaborative art project designed by local artist Pablo Machioli, live performances, and more!

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with the City of College Park! This lively event brings the community together to honor the rich traditions and contributions of Hispanic and Latino cultures.

Join us at The Fest of Fall Caribbean Wine Food & Music Festival in Baltimore, MD for a festive farewell to summer! Get ready to indulge in delicious Caribbean food, exquisite wine, and lively music. Gather in the park for one last hurrah of warm-weather fun as we bid adieu to the sunshine and welcome the cozy charm of fall!

Centro Hispano de Frederick's Hispanic Festival will transform Carroll Creek in downtown Frederick into a celebration of Hispanic art, culture, and music. There will be live dancing, music, traditional costumes, great food, and kids art projects.

Let’s take a trip around the world! Celebrate cultures and people from across the globe by exploring a variety of traditions and how they are preserved. Each month will feature a different heritage community, children’s book, and applicable craft. In September, we’ll focus on Hispanic heritage. We will be reading Mango, Abuela, and Me by Meg Medina with illustrations by Angela Dominquez, and we’ll be making papel picado banners.

Join us for a FREE, family-friendly event celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! The celebración will include an art exhibition and public reception displaying the works of artist Francisco Loza; the unveiling of the 2025 Hispanic Heritage Month poster. The design was created by 6 high school students, led by 2 art instructors, as part of an internship organized by the Visual Arts Program (ACHD), in collaboration with Pyramid Atlantic Arts Center. There will be live music; dancing; arts and craft activities for children; and light refreshments.

Join Riversdale House Museum for a day full of fun at our first Hispanic Heritage Month Community Day! Stop by for a day full of interactive, hands-on, and educational activities, and learn about resources in your community. Spread the word and help us make this day memorable!

Come join us on the lawn for our Fall Concert Series 2025 where we will highlight different bands throughout the series and don’t forget to bring your own lawn chair and a picnic dinner!

Enjoy a one-hour guided tour of Riversdale House Museum in Spanish for Hispanic Heritage Month! Join us as we interpret the history of the people who lived and worked on this former plantation, from the construction of the house in 1801 to Emancipation in 1864. Visitors will enjoy a facilitated dialogue with tour guides as they are guided through the rooms of the historic house and dependency building

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage with the Riversdale House Museum and the Town of Riverdale Park! Join us for a special movie event showcasing Hispanic culture’s rich and vibrant stories. From captivating dramas to heartwarming comedies, our amazing Screen on the Green aims to highlight the diversity and talent of Hispanic filmmakers and bring together all the members of our community to learn more. Join us for Mocktails and Salsa Dance Party, we will kick-off the party with instructor-led salsa dancing. Whether you come solo, with a partner, or with a friend, embrace the Hispanic culture through lively dancing, popular food, and mocktails.

Look, listen, and learn! Families are invited to an interactive story time at Riversdale featuring a children’s book celebrating Hispanic culture. Children will have the opportunity to create an art craft that will deepen their understanding of the Hispanic community depicted in the book. Join us for this engaging experience!

Join us for a community conversation in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. We will discuss what this month means to our community and the importance of preserving Hispanic cultural traditions. The museum will be open for self-guided tours, providing an opportunity for dialogue about connecting our historic past to our shared future. The event will conclude with a performance by a local Mariachi band.

Close out Hispanic Heritage Month with a program that combines science and culture! Riversdale House Museum and Mt. Rainier Nature Center are partnering to bring you a program on the fascinating world of microscopy. Learn basic techniques by heading outside and collecting your own subjects of study from an outdoor walk. View Latin American herbs through a microscope lens. Get an exclusive microscopic look at a mushroom grown in the mountains of Puerto Rico!

Step into the vibrant heart of Dominican Culture and join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month through an unforgettable celebration of music, movement, and tradition. Larimar Folklore Dominicano showcases captivating folkloric dances that embody the rich cultural tapestry of the Dominican Republic. Join us for a time filled with music, dance, and the spirit of Dominican folklore!

Join the Enoch Pratt Free Library for an afternoon of art, music, dance, and culture in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month. Enjoy remarks from United States District Judge, the Hon. Ana C. Reyes, performances showcasing Mexican and Latin American dance and music traditions from Bailes de Mi Tierra, and more! Attendees will even have a chance to explore Pre-Columbian instruments with instrument maker and musician Melissa Foss. The afternoon will also include family-friendly crafts and samples from Franchesca's Empanadas Cafe.
