Established in 1936, Marlborough Hunt Club is one of two active hunt clubs in Southern Maryland. The Club hunts over four counties in Southern Maryland. Hunter Pace competition open to the public.

Since its beginning in 1882, the Great Frederick Fair strives to promote agriculture and its great industry to youth. In addition to agriculture, there are horse shows, harness and thoroughbred racing, draft horse and mule competitions.

Freedom Hill Horse Rescue is dedicated to rescuing horses from neglect, abuse and abandonment. Freedom Hill offers programs throughout the year for children and adults including hands on experiences with the horses.
