Darnall's Chance was opened as a museum in 1988. The house was built in 1742 for James Wardrop. Throughout its history, the site has served as the home of many prominent tobacco merchants.
Tues-Thurs, by appointment; Fri & Sun, 12N-4pm (last tour at 3:15pm); Sat, events by appointment only.

Nicely done with lots of historical information. The guide was very accommodating and a wealth of information. Well worth the stop. There is also a nice park with a lake next store.
