America's oldest privately owned ferry, established 1683. Crosses scenic Tred Avon River between Oxford and St. Michaels area. Ferry carries nine cars, motorcycles, bicycles, passengers. Two locations for boarding: Oxford and Bellevue, MD (5536 Bellevue Rd).

We took the ferry with our car to tool around Oxford and return the same day. It was a pleasant experience on a beautiful day. Comfortable and accommodating. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

We took the 15 min ferry ride from Oxford to Bellevue and then drove onto St. Michaels...so quaint and only ferry privately run in the USA!
