America's oldest privately owned ferry, established 1683. Crosses scenic Tred Avon River between Oxford and St. Michaels area. Ferry carries nine cars, motorcycles, bicycles, passengers. Two locations for boarding: Oxford and Bellevue, MD (5536 Bellevue Rd).

April-Oct: 9am-sunset daily; Nov: Sat-Sun only.

Took the ferry from St. Michaels to Oxford and return. GREAT! Made to order for anyone staying in the St. Mikes area. We went a foot passangers.

This is the best way to get to ST Michael's without taking a long ride. I enjoyed being on the water and looking at the town.
