This outdoor memorial honors the first African-American Supreme Court Justice, who served for 24 years. His most famous case, [Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka] 1954, ended racial segregation in American public schools.

As a lawyer and professor of law, spending time at the Thurgood Marshall Memorial is important. I like the fact that our elected officials must walk by the statute on their way to the a State House.

Right off the state house. Interesting reading on Thurgood Marshall. Well kept area; Enjoyed the surrounding statues with his memorial also.

This is located in front of the Maryland State House. Its a bit out of the way from most foot traffic unless you are visiting the State House. The memorial includes additional statues of children who...
