Museum closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & New Year's Day
All aboard the B&O’s Magical Holiday Express, a holiday spectacular celebration in the B&O Roundhouse devoted to trains of all sizes and shapes, holiday festivities, and a winter wonderland of family fun and activities. The first weekend of the B&O Magical Holiday Express features visits and photos with Santa and appearances by Mrs. Claus, Live performance by Design in Motion Dance Company and Design in Motion Theatre Company, model train layouts, and crafts where kids can learn how holiday lights work by exploring circuitry plus they can bring or write their letters to Santa and mail them to the North Pole.
Deck the Halls Weekend brings live performances by the Girl Scouts of America Chorus and Morton Street Dance Center, model train layouts, special appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as crafts where kids can make their own holiday decorations out of everyday materials and also bring or write letters to send to the North Pole.
Head out on this weekend to help support Jimmyville, Inc. with their 9th annual "All Aboard the Food Train" fundraiser and donate five personal hygiene items and receive $5 off regular admission. In addition this weekend features train rides with Frosty the Snowman and Santa, model train layouts, and activities where kids can discover the sounds of the holidays by building their own musical instruments to take home as well as writing their own letters to Santa to send to the North Pole.
Rounding out the B&O Magical Holiday express, Let it Snow features Mile One Express Trains Dec. 20-23 & Dec. 26-31, model train layouts, and crafts where kids learn how to make snow out of polymers that won't melt inside along with writing or bringing their own letters to Santa to send to the North Pole.
