The eight-foot tall bronze cast of Frederick Douglass, completed in 1956, stands in front of Holmes Hall on the campus of Morgan State University on the main historic academic quad. Artist James E. An example of classic Federal Period architecture, this 1825 townhouse is open for tours, events, and family-friendly programs. Collection highlights include military artifacts, Shenandoah pottery, and locally made decorative arts and artifacts. Basement level houses a gift shop, archives, and research center that are open to the public year-round.
Skipjack Kathryn is restored as a fully operational dredge boat that offers sailing tours during the off-season. Museum is one-of-a-kind in the United States. At least 50 different life size artworks that are made to go on real humans are on display. Photographs and stories of creating the artwork fill the museum. Sculptures are made from all types of materials.
