America's oldest privately owned ferry, established 1683. Crosses scenic Tred Avon River between Oxford and St. Michaels area. Ferry carries nine cars, motorcycles, bicycles, passengers. Two locations for boarding: Oxford and Bellevue, MD (5536 Bellevue Rd).

My wife and I experinced a nice day in St. Michaels, and then took the ferry to Oxford. Very convenient, we just drove on and a young man collected our fare. we were on our way in about 2 minutes...

So fun! We were staying at a B& B in Oxford right near the Ferry . Better than driving around the long way to ST Michaels . Stopped running at 6pm - so we had to drive back to Oxford in the evening...
