Way too many stairs for many people. Great view from the top. No elevator. A real cardiac stress test. Only the fittest shoud try to go to the top.

We drove to the Washington monument and mount Vernon area. We didn't get to go to the top, but love the old church near by and the cobblestone street.

Great place to learn a little bit of history. Walk up the tower to get some great views of the city! You have to pay to walk up but it was worth it.
