Nothing big compared to close by Antietam or Gettysburg but a great little civil war site. Don't know if you can fish the nearby Monocacy river. The two would make a great day.

The visitors center has a very good museum with an informative 7 minute talking map that describes the battle. You can get a map that gives you the directions for 5 stops on a 6 mile auto tour...
