We're taking every step we can to implement innovative and responsible environmental practices across our hotel to reduce our carbon footprint and help our employees be green.
bulletSet Annual Goals: Our property team has established a comprehensive recycling program. Each guest room is now equipped with recycling bins for proper dispensing of paper goods and plastic. Additionally, we have completely eliminated the purchase and usage of Styrofoam to minimize garbage and debris along water coast lines. Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel has also implemented a green housekeeping program. This program ensures that cleaning personnel are appropriately trained in green housekeeping practices. These practices include utilizing daylight while cleaning to the most possible extent, in lieu of electric lighting. Reduce water usage by avoiding running water where possible. And check for and report on faucet leaks or running toilets and adhere to linen and towel reuse policies. To encourage our employees to utilize mass transportation, we offer our associates 50% off MTA bus passes. Fifty associates have taken advantage of this program, keeping 40+ vehicles of the roads daily. Guests of Sheraton Inner Harbor have the option to "Make a Green Choice," by declining housekeeping conserve water, energy, and other resources with an additional voucher incentive.
