Set Annual Goals: Our management team meets regularly to discuss ways to implement green initiatives with the support of the owners. We have a purchasing policy to encourage the purchase of environmentally-friendly products and services List of our environmentally friendly products and services: We are actively purchasing EnergyStar, water efficient and green cleaning products. Environmental Restoration or Community Environmental Projects: For the past 5 years we have participated in planting trees at the Watershed at Loch Raven and at Hydes, MD. On each visit our Marriott volunteers plant 200 trees totalling more than 1000 saplings to date. Other Green Practices Transportation: We use the following best management practices: Addressing Efficient Business Travel-We provide public transit information in our conference - meeting sales materials. Other: Other Innovative / Creative / Commonsense Green ideas: We will be installing an herb garden on our loser roof in 2012. Fresh herbs will be used in the restaurant and the garden will assist in reducing our carbon footprint. Measurable Results We are installing new, energy efficient hot water boilers in Q1 2012. Our new boilers will be 98% efficient, versus the old boilers at 72% efficient - an increase of 26%.
