Trip Advisor Expected More
Jan 21, 2015 by: Fridakat from San Antonio, Texas
I usually have great experiences with Best Westerns, especially the Plus locations. This hotel has some nice features, including a large, comfortable room. I got a great deal on the price, which included a discount for a two-night stay. Location is fair--close to the Beltway but somewhat far from food choices and other amenities. Now, for the drawbacks ... Breakfast was the worst ever--two mornings in a row. Potatoes were both under-cooked and burned (seemed like two batches were mixed together). Eggs were runny. The toaster had a dial with all the markings rubbed off, so there was no way to set it properly. Juices were watered down. I complained about the potatoes to the man who was "managing" the breakfast area, but he could not have cared less. The next morning, I complained to the front desk, but I can almost guarantee nothing was done. The woman at the desk seemed perplexed and disinterested. All the front desk people were unapproachable and never made eye contact. I asked one morning about finding a drive through car wash, and the desk person directed me to a location about five or six miles away. Later, I found a car wash less than a mile away. They acted like they were being bothered if you asked for anything. As far as the "restaurant," it's not really a restaurant at all--more like an overpriced, glorified snack bar. I tried getting some information about the food served there but they never answered the phone. They seemed to be closed even though I called within their stated "open" hours. Frustrating. Again, nice room but poor service overall. To me, the service is the most important thing.

Trip Advisor Great Value and Wonderful Stay

This hotel was a great value for the price. The breakfast was stupendous with eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries and all the normal pastries, cereals, yogurt and fruit options. Friendly staff made the stay enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and the decor was very contemporary and upbeat. The lobby area was nice and relaxing with the coffee station always full and clean.

Trip Advisor Very Good Hotel
Jan 20, 2015 by: Ken W from Portsmouth, United States
I have stayed here many times and have always enjoyed it. Very good hotel. Clean and professionally run. Breakfast is always good. What else can I say? Very good hotel. Stayed there many times. You should be allowed to write a shorter review if you want to and not have to use 200 characters. My complaint is with TRIPADVISOR not Best Western.

Trip Advisor Average Hotel

The housekeepers do not speak English which makes it very hard to ask for something. The breakfasts are not very good. The eggs are cold and the bacon uncooked. Room was quiet and comfortable. Internet worked well except for 1 day of our 11 day stay.

Trip Advisor price and cleanliness plus amenities
Jan 16, 2015 by: Greg H from Hagerstown, United States
Price was very just right for such a great place to stay. I had rotor cuff surgery on the 13th, so we booked the hotel for two nights. The hotel was approximately 12 minutes away from the hospital. Food places around the hotel was easy to find. We had supper the night of the 13th and it was very eye and taste pleasant. I may not hit 200 characters. Breakfast was class A! Eggs, meat, fruit, juice, waffles, coffee.
