Trip Advisor Great Hotel

I was there on Easter weekend while visiting Washington. The hotel is priced well, it is clean, the morning buffet is fantastic and the service was great. I was going to watch the Washington Nationals play and I received help from the employees at the hotel when I was trying to get to the park taking the Metro and parking outside of Washington. The employees were not in any rush at all and one took the time to call his friend that often took the Metro to tell me the best way to do so. Great experience.



Trip Advisor Great, Economical Hotel near DC

Great value, clean, well-run, excellent accommodations. Hotel's staff-operated Shuttle to Rockville Metro makes downtown and all of DC easily accessible. Ideally situated on the highway a short distance from Massachusetts Avenue and Connecticut Avenue. We will go back again and again when staying on the MD/Beltway side of DC while our son attends a nearby university. Outstanding value when you consider the breakfast (bacon and eggs, etc. -- not just juice and cornflakes) and other amenities. Staff are courteous and well trained.



Trip Advisor Great place for business stay

This is the second time I have been at this property for business meetings. Both times I had to stay overnight. The staff was super accommodating and the room was very nice. Clean, modern, and well equipped. The meeting space was just basic meeting space. BUT, I could tell they have done a lot of upgrades since my last stay and it appears more are on the way. I will have to go back in Dec. and look forward to it.



Trip Advisor Late check-ins not efficient

My husband and I and our two children had been traveling for several hours from the Outer Banks and decided to stop at this hotel to spend the night before continuing our trip home to Pennsylvania. Although it was 11 PM when we stopped, we did not get settled into a room until almost 12:30 AM! First, we were sent to a room on the 5th floor. The TV did not work. When we called the hotel desk, they asked us to come down for keys to another room. We had our luggage on a cart and ended up moving down the hall a few rooms. The same thing happened and the TV did not work in that room either. Again, we called the hotel desk and they asked us to come down for keys to ANOTHER room. This time the room was on the 4th floor. We had difficulty getting the cart back down the hall and discovered that one of the wheels was flat! We finally dragged the cart into the elevator and finally got into a room. That room was fine except that we did not have towels for 4 people. The bed pillows were not comfortable at all. Even though it was 11 PM at night, there were several other people checking in at the time and the lobby was quite active. When we checked out on Sunday morning, we asked the person at the desk if we could see the manager about the problems we had. We were told that we would have to call the next day because there was no manager on site. Apparently, the hotel is not sufficiently staffed on weekends to accommodate people without prior reservations, and it was a disappointment since we are Rewards members.



Trip Advisor Beware of the noise

You can hear and understand the conversation in the next room, just saying. Also the fitness room opens at 6AM the treadmill woke me up before 6 even though it was two floors down. The front drop off area is in poor condition with a curb in front of the front door.
