Business trip to work Morgantown Generating Plant
Mar 19, 2015 by: Bernard F from Jacksonville, Florida
I brought a crew of ten (10) men from Jacksonville, Florida to work at the Morgantown Generating Plant. We want to say thanks to The Best Western Plus - La Plata, MD. During our visit the hospitality staff has been tenacious in making sure our rooms were cleaned everyday and the continental breakfast was excellent. in addition, we really appreciate the professionalism exhibited by the management team and would recommend this hotel to other companies that need contract workers placed in this area.
An excellent place to stay.

I stay at this hotel often when I am in Southern Maryland. The rooms are always clean and the staff is very helpful and polite. I never have a problem checking in. I especially like the perks that come along with the room. I travel a lot, and this hotel has one of the best complimentary hot breakfasts of all of the hotels that I've stayed at. At a minimum, they usually have waffles, eggs and a meat. There are always fresh fruits available all day, and there are usually complimentary fresh-baked cookies available in the evenings. This is one of the few hotels that I've visited that also periodically has free dinners available (soup, spaghetti, etc.). Overall, a very satisfying experience.
2015 La Plata Spring Trip

Thought the overall stay was average. The staff are great, always. The rooms were fair. Wasn't happy to smell smoke in the corridor, and the bed was too soft. WE have stayed here before, and was disappointed this trip. Will have to review next time before we make this our choice.
An Uneventful Stay

Stayed Feb. 20 thru 21. Went there to celebrate my birthday and visit family. As usual, the motel was spotless and the breakfast tasty. The staff was courteous and helpful. However; it snowed that weekend. Not completely snowed in; but the area is somewhat rural which allowed limited travel.
Doors need help
Feb 16, 2015 by: Mical W from RIDERWOOD
The stay was ok. Bed a bit soft, but not terrible. Breakfast was good. Internet excellent. Unfortunately, the room door was very - very - difficult to open, and difficult to close. (So hard to close that the cleaning staff left it open when they finished cleaning our room. Quite disconcerting when we returned to find the room door open. Though everything in the room was fine, thankfully.)
