Had a pretty unhappy experience at this hotel. My heat broke on the coldest day of the month and instead of immediately transferring me to a new room they sent someone to tinker with it. meanwhile me and my infant were getting colder by the minute. When they couldn't fix it, they finally switched our room to a new one, but they forgot to activate the new keys, so when me and my baby went outside to the car to get something, we could not get back in! And it was like 30 degrees! Next problem was that the new room they put us in did not have a stopper for the tub. Next problem was that I put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door the next morning but the maids still busted in TWICE despite that sign on the door. Also, the coffee ran out at breakfast and there was no one around to ask about more. Despite that fact that my room was non-smoking the whole floor STANK, I mean REEKED of cigarettes! I get the feeling my room used to be smoking but they "cleaned" it up to be "non-smoking". I think it needs more work. Bathrooms made for a gnome, so small. Bed hard as a rock, woke up with a backache. On the good side, the manager is a nice guy.
Good size rooms and beds, but...

This was our first trip to Frederick and we'd stay at this hotel again. The welcome was friendly and efficient- we were on the first floor, not too course to the reception area but at the quiet end of the corridor. The room was, clean and well appointed with two queen beds, adequate bathroom facilities, refrigerator, coffee machine- broken but replaced immediately we rang reception. There is a guest laundry room too. Coin operated and well used but quite tidy. We didn't want to drive into the old town so after checking on buses- they do exist but not sure of timetable adherence- we walk it. It took about half an hour but it was a pleasant walk, passing by residential areas both old and new. We felt very safe but chose to get a cab back after our evenings out. We were charged $7.50 on both evenings and felt that this was a reasonable price. As we are 'beer folks' we had lots of really good craft beers to choose from and lots of good food too. Our only disappointment was at breakfast time! The room is just too small for the size of the hotel. On our first morning we had to try twice- leaving half an hour between each visit, before we got to get a table. The next morning we left it quite late but then so did lots of other guests:(. We eventually managed to grab a table, squeezed onto with another couple, and got breakfast. The food offered was good but the whole experience left us feeling let down. I'm sure there must be something that could be done to rectify this important part of the event.

Comfortable rooms and good breakfast -- try the biscuits and gravy -- for a reasonable price. Very close to the interstate and shopping. Plenty of parking -- especially for large vehicles or people pulling trailers.

Black mold in the bathrooms not only one but the second bathroom another room I was moved into. Room service knocking on the door at 8:30am. I was still charged for two nights and cleaned the black mold myself and Im asthmatic.

We booked the hotel to stay close to the hospital in Western MD. The room was spotless. The bed beyond comfortable and the staff very accommodating. We had to stay an extra night due to my son's complications from surgery. They made sure we did not have to move to another room, although this one was booked. The staff went out of their way to help us during a stressful time. Great hotel, breakfast was very good and the it made a sad time a lot nicer for us.
