Bathroom so small, you need to get in tub to close the door

This is badly dated. An old hotel that has seen better days. Thought I could save some money, but this wasn't worth what money I spent. I thought Best Western was a better chain than this. The breakfast wasn't bad and the staff was fine. Will never come back!

We called ahead to be sure there were rooms if we made it out of Washington,DC. The room was priced right and we saved a little with AAA. The desk clerk could not have been nicer. She was very helpful making sure we had the EXACT location. (Close to door, not too close to elevator etc). The room was clean but the bed was a little worn. Not terrible just near it's end of life. Our room had a nice fridge and microwave. Housekeeping knocked on my door 4 times between 11:30 and 12:00. Check out is noon. I told them all four times I needed about 15-30 extra minutes. Hallway had a strong odor from mid-way of hall and back. Perhaps lots of cooking was being done in some rooms. Breakfast was good. Bacon, fresh waffles, yogurt, cereal, instant oatmeal, juice, hot coffee, breads, muffins and danish. The eggs were hard to recognize discs. Flavor was not to my liking. The hotel was a value for the price and location. One hour outside of DC. Perfect place to see the sights of Frederick, MD and even DC.

Best Western in Historic Frederick

Although clean, the room was tired and needed a dramatic facelift. Wallpaper was peeling and the furniture was quite used. The bathroom was miniscule and the care products included only shampoo and condidtioner with small bars of soap. For travelers expecting lotion and other items they may not pack due to TSA requirements, this would have caused a trip to the nearest drugstore.

We always stay with Best Western when traveling. We find they are always the best value. We never have a problem with cleanliness or service. The staff is always very friendly and pleasant. Their continental breakfast is wonderful.
