Trip Advisor Dark blah room.
Mar 24, 2015 by: sonya m from Washington DC, District of Columbia
We had a home emergency and needed a hotel to stay in for a night near our home. After looking on the internet and paying what I thought was a high rate I went ahead and booked because the hotel looked rather nice from their website. I was sadly mistaken. The room was small, dark and didn't seem very clean. The bed felt like a springy old mattress. I had a horrible night sleep. It looked like more of a two star hotel. I would not recommend it to anyone. The only positive was the free continental breakfast which was decent.

Trip Advisor Good enough but barely

For those who have to visit the NIH Campus and allied facilities in the region the hotel is very conveniently situated. There are, however, several drawbacks. The windows are not sound-insulated: as a result there is traffic noise (I could actually hear people speaking on the street). I visited in March and it was quite cold: the heating equipment is extremely noisily: so, in spite of the fact that I asked for a second blanket, the choice was either to wake up freezing or to switch heating on and not be able to sleep because of the noise. My two colleagues, who had separate room, had exactly the same problems. Breakfast is minimalistic, at best. The staff, however, is friendly and helpful.

Trip Advisor Great unknown, will be back

My intern found this gem of a hotel. I will be back! Close to the metro, quiet and comfortable, plus reasonable. It is like a European hotel. I was treated when I arrived and left with such great hospitality. This is a great hotel!

Trip Advisor Great location and good value

We stayed at the Bethesda Court Hotel in March 2015. This hotel is conveniently located to Bethesda with all of it's great restaurants. It's only one block away from the Metro stop. The room was great value. There is a bare bones hotel, simple, clean and inexpensive. The first night there was no ice. The pillows were terrible and there was no full length mirror in the room. These were minor things, the hotel staff was very very friendly and helpful. Free continentall breakfast and free wi-fi. F-Great value at $155 a night. Location is fantastic.

Trip Advisor Quick DC Visit - Bethesda Hotel a great value

Our second visit to this hotel. Service is very good (Paula at front desk was always helpful and courteous). Hotel is very clean and comfortable. Free continental breakfast is a very helpful option. Some dining establishments in the area offer delivery (no in-hotel dining option (except breakfast)) The Tastee Diner around the corner is open 24 hours and offers good comfort food. A number of good eating establishments in the area along with some shopping and movie theaters. Metro station very close. We would return here and would recommend this establishment to other visitors to the area.. Thank you.
