Well worth a visit and stay

This is now known as Avi Hotel Largo, after the new owner, I understand. Confusing, especially when a lot of the hotel 'stuff' bears the Hampton name. That said, we were warmly greeted by Shawn, who arranged the rooms we needed without a fuss, despite the hotel being full of Bears and Redskins fans. The fans actually added to our stay, rather than taking anything from it!! Efficient staff throughout the hotel made our stay, and especially the ladies in the breakfast room, although the hot options were limited. An efficient shuttle service to the train station or local restaurants was very useful.

For starters it took three phone calls to make a reservation. The only good thing about this hotel is the front desk staff....that's it. The halls smell like musk and urine. The hotel is old. The room furniture is old. The pillows and cases were dirty, we had to call downstairs twice to get new pillow cases. Everything still says Hampton Inn aside from the AVI hotel "sheet" hanging outside. Needless to say I will never stay here again.
commending the hotel

I can't find the words to express how pleased I was with my stay. First off I want to recognize the housekeeper named Ester. She was efficient, friendly and did an excellent job. She needs to be aware of her excellent manner in whichshe addresses the people staying there. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to be in your area. From the front desk to the servers in the restaurant. On my last day there was only one server named Gi Gi who handled all the customers with a smile and concern for any wait which was understandable with the staffing being short. Thank you again for a pleasant time. I didn't want to leave!
Great location and service for football fans

Visiting form Philadelphia for the Monday night Eagles/Redskins game. I originally called this hotel thinking it was a Hampton inn. I was told that the name recently changed (about a week prior to my call) to the AVI. We only stayed overnight but the rooms were clean and nicely furnished. Everyone at the front desk was very helpful (Even to Eagles fans...lol) They have a shuttle that will take you to Fed Ex field and back to the hotel. They can't drop you off right at the field but they get you to within about a half of mile. Shuttle drivers were very nice. Can't really say anything negative about our short stay. It still seemed very much like a Hampton Inn hopefully the new AVI will keep the same standards. Late check out was no problem.
Excellent isn't just in the furnishings

The Hampton Inn was clean, had a wide variety for their breakfast and they also had a business center making it easy to print boarding passes for the flight home. But what made this an excellent place to stay was their customer service. They were always courteous, helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were completely satisfied. I would be happy to stay here again.
