Trip Advisor A go-to hotel for several landmarks
Aug 29, 2014 by: p3pp3r2014 from Fairfax
My top priorities for a hotel are clean and comfortable bedding, climate control, TV, wifi, breakfast included, shuttle to destination, close to restaurants - all for a decent price. Avi (totally unknown to me at first) filled all the priorities. I was attending an International District Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses from August 1 - 3. The shuttle drivers delivered us and picked us up in a timely fashion every day. The staff was warm, friendly, helpful - exactly what is expected in good customer service. I researched what Avi means since I never heard of it before. It means "My Father". A perfect place to have stayed since I was in town to take in more knowledge regarding my heavenly Father, Jehovah, and his Kingdom. (sigh)

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and they also use white sheets. Also Robert and Sharon are so kind and helpful. I also met one of the owners and he was so down to earth now I see where the staff gets their niceness from. To sum it all up it is just that WONDERFUL!!!

This is a very good hotel to stay for big events. We had our Annual Masonic Event here. Clean reasonable pricing, friendly service. We met both the hotel owner and general manager personally and they helped us every step of the way. Plus it very close to the shops and metro to Downtown DC. Nice place to stay.

While till unloading our luggage, a man came into the parking lot with a cart to help us. There was a damp sticky spot on the floor but we mentioned the next morning and it was clean and dry in the evening. We had hoped to use the pool, but the law in Maryland says there has to be a lifeguard and the 2:00-9:00 hours didn't work into our schedule. The breakfast room is huge, with an ample breakfast of both hot and cold food. The free parking was a bonus to us, and though the Metro was close, the access to major roads was so easy we decided to keep using our car.
