We came to Deep Creek Lake at the “between season” – mid November right before Thanksgiving. Not cold enough for skiing or tubing (although they were making snow like crazy) and not warm enough for water activities. The only activity we wanted to try was the Mountain Coaster. Unfortunately, we got behind a large group and it took over 45 minutes of waiting in line because the people were coming down the coaster at very slow speeds. Finally we got our chance and it was great, except for the lady in front of me that stopped suddenly to read a sign. I would do it again in a minute but maybe when they first open in the morning before the crowds.

Even though is was a cold and drizzly day, we had so much fun here. The kids loved both of the rope/zip line courses. (Ages 4,8, 11 and my husband) But the best was the mountain coaster! We went twice and could go 10 more time and it would still have the same thrill as the first time down. Can't wait to come back!!
Great activities year round!

Our annual trip to Deep Creek would not be complete without a visit to the mountain coaster in the summer or tubing/ice skating in the winter. In 2014, we had 7 kids ranging from age 10-16 try the Spider Monkey rope course and they all loved it. All the activities are a little pricey, but definitely worth trying at least once.
Great summer activities

Adventure course, zip line, segways, mountain biking, mountain coaster, chair lifts and many more are some of the activities in summer. My family had fun trying all sorts of activities there. They are, though, quite expensive when you add them up. At least there is something to do in the area other than the lake for summer fun!
Exciting things to do

Been there with friends and had a great time. My kids had so much fun riding the lift. It was a summer season and on that lift you can really see almost all of the luscious greens of the mountain resort. When you reach the top of the lift there is a man-made body of water there for white -water rafting which I know water-sports enthusiasts would love to try. It was pretty awesome.
