Baltimore-Washington Beer Works
The Baltimore-Washington Beer Works, of Baltimore, Maryland was founded by Stephen Demczuk, who was partner in Europe's first beer-of-the-month club, Beer Around the World. He, along with Baltimorean, Jim Seay and German beer importer, Mr. Wolfgang Stark styled a beer that would be appealing to the masses, drinkable and enjoyed by all. With the assistance of master brewer Mr. Hans-Martin Walz of Anker Brewery, came The Raven, a beer brewed in the honor of Baltimore's literary genius, Edgar Allan Poe.

Ruddy Duck Brewery & Grill
The Ruddy Duck Brewery and Grill was conceived by co-owner Carlos Yanez. For years, Carlos has dreamed of opening a fun, family oriented restaurant, celebrating the marriage of great food and freshly brewed beer. His years of passionate home cooking and brewing and love of entertaining friends and family, is expressed in the attention to detail in the craftsmanship of the brewing, the warmth of the environment, and the quality of the food. The ‘ruddy duck’ is a species native to both South and North America and has a migratory path that takes it to and from each. So goes the duck, goes founder Carlos Yanez. Flying Dog Brewery
In 1990 George and Richard opened the Flying Dog Brewpub in Aspen, Colorado. The venture was an immediate success and people came from far and wide to kick back with a Flying Dog brew and soak up the bohemian atmosphere. A few years later George and Richard met up with Hunter S. Thompson and Ralph Steadman in the Woody Creek Tavern and things got a whole lot weirder… As Dr. Gonzo once stated though, "when the going gets weird the weird turn pro," so today we ship more than 400,000 cases a year across the U.S from our state-of-the-art facility in the Fredrick, MD. The Maryland Brewery utilizes cutting-edge technologies to aid in water conservation and to ensure the same great drinking experience time after time.

Franklins delights its customers with a unique blend of great food and beer combined with upscale, practical, and offbeat shopping. The nail bins now hold penny candy and toys, The shelves, once full of hardware and cans of paint, are now stocked with the modern “essentials:” rubber chickens, Legos, chocolate body paint and hot sauces. In our brewpub “addition” completed in 2002, Franklins will fix your appetite instead of your lawn mower and folks still gather to talk about the weather, the schools, rising prices and changing times.

We add high quality hops for balance and flavor while allowing the beer to age fully before it fills your glass. In the Growlers brewhouse we practice a doctrine of quality, simplicity and authenticity to make sure you are drinking the best possible beer every time you visit. We also feature a small pilot brewery that lets us bring you a constant selection of new, creative, and sometimes eccentric brews to complement our classically driven house menu.
