Maryland museums house some of the world’s finest artistic treasures. The Baltimore Museum of Art has the world's largest collection of Matisses and the Walters Art Museum is known internationally for its medieval collection. The American folk art of decoy carving is showcased in Salisbury and Havre de Grace. The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts displays world-class collections in a park setting. Among the outdoor spectacular of sculpture, enjoy the whimsy of gnome homes and fairy houses at Annmarie Garden.

Maryland Seafood Logo Savor the Seafood
Some 400 crabs are brought to Crisfield in Somerset County to compete in the National Hard Crab Derby & Fair, Aug. 29 – Sept. 1. Chef demonstrations, musical performances and BMX races spice up the fare at the Maryland Seafood Festival, Sept. 7 - 8 at Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis. Of course, seafood will also be on the menu at the Calvert County Watermen’s Festival on Sept. 22 in Solomons.  Sept. 28, Crisfield again celebrates its history, heritage and seafood culture of the Chesapeake during the waterfront Dock Day on the Bay festival.
