Begin with a 2.4-mile swim in the Choptank River on the Delmarva Peninsula. The 112-mile bike takes athletes through Dorchester County and into the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, while the 26.2-mile run is on flat country roads. It all makes for a scenic and fast course.More info...

The JFK 50 Mile was first held in the spring of 1963. It was one of numerous such 50 mile events held around the country as part of President John F. Kennedy's push to bring the country back to physical fitness.
The course begins in Boonsboro, joins the Appalachian Trail, connects to the C&O Canal towpath then finishes in Williamsport.
