First Friday in Leonardtown
On the first Friday of every month, historic Leonardtown's art galleries, restaurants, cafes, gift shops, antique shops, bookstores, etc. open their doors to showcase local artists and/or serve specials at their establishments. The town hosts a free evening of art, entertainment, and specials where people gather to enjoy local art, the company of others, and even a free glass of wine.

The Caroline County Council of Arts sponsors 2nd Saturdays at The Foundry, a new series providing the public with an opportunity to watch local artists demonstrate their talents across an array of mediums. From plein air to pumpkin painting, basketweaving to jewelry making, there is always something beautiful going on at The Foundry, on the second Saturday of every month, from 2-4pm. Located at 401 Market Street in Denton, all events are open to the public, free of charge, and often encourage audience participation.
